There was a Meeting of South Hams District Council Executive on Thursday 16th September to discuss the ongoing problems with the collection of recycling.
This meeting can be viewed here. (You may need to skip the introductory adverts).
As fellow parishioners, we fully empathise with the frustration you are experiencing with missed collections. Councillors and the Clerk have raised these problems directly with SHDC, Cllr R Foss and our locality councillor on many occasions and continue to do so.
As Waste and Recycling Services are entirely the responsibility of South Hams District Council, please you can continue to report any issues directly to them via https://www.southhams.gov.uk/a... - this portal also enables you to report a number of other issues. SHDC are encouraging all parishioners across Devon to report missed collection in order to gather as full a view as possible on the situation to support ongoing dialogue with the contractor FCC Environment.
You can find additional information here: https://southhams.gov.uk/recyc...
As soon as we receive a formal update from SHDC, this will be circulated via our Facebook page, website and notice boards. In the meantime, we appreciate your understanding that this is a matter completely out of Parish Council hands.
