The latest Community Support Group (CSG) updates:
26-3-20: A new local community support telephone helpline is launched
A new parish wide telephone help line is now available to help support those more vulnerable, and all parishioners who do not have internet access, to be signposted to the essential local support and services they need. during this crisis.
All parishioners will shortly receive a letter about the new phone support service giving details of how to access this by phone plus window posters to help ask for help. So that the most vulnerable can get through quickly and easily, the CSG group would really appreciate if all parishioners with internet access could use this self service page email slaptoncsg@gmail in the first instance, to help keep the lines free.
Please note, this is a village help line run by a small team of volunteers and does not substitute for any of the national and regional support services also being put in place.
21-3-20 Establishment of a new Volunteer Community Support Committee 21-3-20On Saturday 21st March a team of volunteers from across our parish met by video conference to look at ways of providing essential support to parishioners who are most vulnerable and those now in self isolation. A new Slapton Community Support Committee, know as CSG, has now been established under the umbrella of the Parish Council.
To join the group email: email@example.com with their full name, email, home and mobile and the team will then contact you directly. (In the circumstance it will be assumed you have given your permission to use your data).
Thank you for your support and patience whilst we mobilise our volunteers. We will be contacting all our villagers by letter, as soon as possible this week with details of how to access support if you do not have internet access. In the meantime, please see opposite for useful information and reference sources which may help you during this crisis.
Julie Hinder, Chair Slapton Parish Council.
