NHS Repeat Prescription Collection & Delivery Service arrangements for this Winter

Now that the NHS Volunteer responder system ‘GoodSam’ is fully up-and-running, all vulnerable parishioners (see eligibility criteria below) can now register directly for long-term repeat prescription support as the service has been purposely designed to help vulnerable parishioners.
Your repeat prescription requests will be actioned through trained and DBS checked volunteers and you can self-refer by calling freephone 0808 196 3646 (8am-8pm).
The following groups who are eligible for this support are:
People aged 70 years and older with underlying health conditions
People in the Shielded Patients group
People who are pregnant
People who are newly socially vulnerable as a result of COVID-19
People who have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010 and;
Others with high-risk conditions, which could include:
People with chronic lung disease or moderate to severe asthma
People with serious heart conditions
People who are immunocompromised including because of cancer treatment
People of any age with severe obesity e.g. body mass index (BMI) over 40
Certain underlying medical conditions particularly if not well controlled such as those with diabetes, dementia, renal failure or liver disease might also be at risk.
